Part of the Oxford Castle site, built by William the Conqueror in 1071, Malmaison Oxford is the first prison to be converted into a hotel in the UK.
Located in the city centre, just 5 minutes' walk from the train station, Oxford Castle's dramatic castellated gates open onto the sweeping drive leading up to the enormous entrance. The vast interior space of the hotel comprises five stylistically separate areas - A Wing, C Wing, New Road, the Governor's House and the detached houses of correction.
